  The Event I:

  Sore Loser

  ‘BANG!’

Above a previously tranquil forest, a mushroom cloud could be seen. There was an explosion of deep purple energies and flames both green and black. A silhouette shot backward out of a mushroom cloud of smoke. A youth in white clothes was sent crashing through hundreds of trees before brutally crashing, making a massive crater in the ground.

"You bitch!" The youth quickly climbed up, in spite of his body being covered in blood and bruises. His previously perfect clothing was now a mess. The youth spat on the ground in contempt, "To think that an immortal would attack a junior. You are unworthy of your status!”

"Foolish beast. Do you believe yourself blessed by fate? A beast will always be a beast, and my disciple losing to you is totally unjustified,” said a soft and ethereal voice. There was a subtle seductive quality in her voice that made men hallucinate about beauties in the springtime.

“Unjustified? You blame your inadequacies on my superior heritage? Is it my fault your disciple was born a lowly human? Are you such a sore loser?” said the youth in white with vicious and undisguised contempt. In fact, he did not actually dislike humans. His brother was half-human, and one of his father’s wives was human. However, the human woman in front of him deserved death! How dare she assault him just because her disciple had been defeated in fair competition? The youth wanted nothing more than to devour her source essence.

Whose fault was it that her disciple didn’t last more than three breathes under the assault of his nirvana flame?

He spat on the ground and continued to rave, “Sansa, pah! Luerong, Pah! That’s what I think of you and your bitch disciple. I should have bent her over during the match, and given the crowd a real show!”

“Be silent, you wastrel. Sylknarius Tricko, heir to the title of Sephiroth on the Anubis Great World. Without that flame, what are you really? Trash at my feet," there was a peerlessly glamorous and chocolatey brown-skinned woman floating high in the skies above the crater. This so-called Sansa was wearing a sexy green low-cut dress, that revealed many of her stunning assets.

Unfortunately, her incredible face lacked all emotion as she raised her hand, condensing a spear of light made from various energies. The youth could feel death on the tip of that energy spear, his back becoming drenched in cold sweat. For the first time in his existence, the youth in white felt a bit anxious. As this woman clenched her first, the energies pouring into the spear became volatile and fearsome.

'Am I going to die? Impossible! My father is the World Devouring Sky Jackal! I have the blood of the Infinity Black Phoenix! I am a mighty Cosmos Devouring Sky Wolf! I will not perish here!’

As he had this thought, raging green and black flames appeared around the youth like an unstoppable inferno. The Sylknarius Tricko stood up with his back straight as a sword and stared at the woman in the sky. His gaze penetrated deep into her eyes, giving the beautiful woman pause.

Unfortunately, the woman only sneered while she released her clenched fist. The spear made up of powerful energies instantly shot forward. As the youth in white prepared to take in his last breath, he saw something he would never forget.

"Sylvester, run!" another child with a steaming golden sword suddenly jumped in front of the youth in white, before slashing out with all his might.

"X, no!" Screamed Sylknarius Tricko, but it was too late. The spear of light pierced through them both like paper, as their bodies exploded into a bloody mess of gore and flesh. Their soul forms then collapsed to the ground unable to move. The last thing the youth in white saw was the gorgeous green-clothed woman land right in from of them. She was performing various hand seals which sent large sealing runes into the two confined souls.

“San...sa...Blacc..." these were the last words Sylknarius Tricko managed to think before everything faded away.

In his dream, the youth appeared a few hundred years younger and had a body the size of a four-year-old boy. Sylknarius Tricko was seated cross-legged in front of a wizened elder in grey garments, who looked similar to an old dog. This seemed to be one of the ancestors of his father's clan, he had studied under many such elders in his early days. The elder spoke enthusiastically about the story he was narrating.

"There is an old legend amongst the most powerful clans in history," stated the elder sagely, "The legends speak of a timeless battle, that transcended the capabilities of the Universal Dao, which governs all of us in this Divine Universe.

“Two legendary immortal warriors, true ancient pharaohs with the power of creation, battled a total of seven times, each battle lasting for seven centuries, with a battle occurring every seven millennia. This battle of universal peace and order versus universal chaos and supremacy, that was threatening to destroy the entire great universe. As a result, all the races were forced to pick a side to support. The True Pharaoh of Universal Chaos reigned as the victor in the end. With his victory came the birth and destruction of galactic star area realms within the Divine Universe.”

"So then the True Pharaoh of Universal Peace was killed?" the little boy in white was stunned.

“Unfortunately for the True Pharaoh of Universal Chaos, beings of that level could never truly die. Especially so for the True Pharaoh of Universal Peace. He was blessed with the strongest soul and body constitution in existence. His soul itself exceeded the limits of this Divine Universe! It stood on par with the nine heavens, the divine ennead. The True Pharaoh of Universal Peace's soul can produce or merge with any type of energy! This included the magical energy of the nine heavens, the power that structures our entire existence, the legendary Dark Matter! The Infinity Soul." Said the elder.

"What's that Grandpa? What dark matter? What’s an Infinity Soul?" Asked the little boy in white, Sylvester.

"The Infinity Soul harmonizes the heavens. The Infinity Soul brings balance to cancerous forces. The capabilities of the Infinity Soul, within this universe, are truly infinite. This is because the Infinity Soul is an existence that exceeds the world, able to stand on par with
the heavens. Perhaps, it transcends the highest skies! The True Pharaoh of Chaos knew he couldn't honestly kill the one who possesses the Infinity Soul.

"This could be considered his life's only rival, and arch nemesis.” said the old dog, “So he stripped the other True Pharaoh's soul of all its magical properties, even paying the price to severely damage the Infinity Soul flame, which contained the True Pharaoh of Universal Peace’s remnant consciousness, personality, and the memories of life. The True Pharaoh of Chaos even plundered all his inner worlds, changing everything of value into cosmic energy seal stones, which he scattered across the universe. These seal stones are what came to be known as Cosmic Eggs, due to their shape and design.”

"So that's what a cosmic egg is," The child nodded in understanding. However, he had discovered a problem. He couldn't possibly have been told what a cosmic egg was before now. He was far older when he had even first heard of this so-called ‘cosmic egg.’ The little boy in white had begun to realize that this was no memory of his. This wasn’t a dream. He didn't actually know this man he referred to as 'grandpa.' So then who was the old man in front of himself, and what was behind this illusion?

"After being scattered for countless millions of years, the Infinity Soul has finally neared completion. You were almost complete. However, a big chunk of you is missing. Now, fate has interfered, taking control of the steering wheel. The other half of you awaits. The Infinity Soul's return will herald in a new age. It will change fate, and rewrite history with its mighty influence." Said the elder, looking at the little boy in front of him deeply.

"Yes but...how does this involve me, Grandpa?” said Sylvester skeptically. The old man's smile was mischievous as if he had long since realized that the boy would discover he wasn’t dreaming.

"You will forever be involved. You have been branded by fate! There is no Infinity Soul without you, and no you without the Infinity Soul." The sound of the elder's voice echoed heavily in the youth's mind, leaving him one last message before sending him once into unconsciousness once more, “If you want freedom, then you must be patient! Only the God of Infinity can create your dream!”

To be lost in an abyss of darkness was a tragic fate. The concept of time is an illusion when nothing exists.

Deep in a dark and endless void, an uncountable number of souls of the banished flowed through space and time. They were all infantile and floating on their backs, staring blankly into the darkness. They were merely traveling through the abyss with no consciousness, no free will, only the impulse to drift ever forward as if there was some mysterious law pulling them like a soul stream. From a distance, it appeared to be an endless river of infant souls. This river was wide by thousands of kilometers, infinitely deep, and it seems to go on forever and ever without an end in sight.

For countless millennia this darkness remained the same. Unchanging, and unfathomable. Until one particular day, which marked the start of a series of variations in this unchanging samsara. First, there was a soul with a unique seal floating in one spot, without moving an inch. Whereas from a certain angle the other souls were all laying on their back and staring upwards as they drifted feet first in one direction, this new entry just didn't move at all, and it was actually facing down, head first towards the direction the others souls were moving in. This soul maintained this state for a millennium until there was another change.

There was another soul that experienced specific changes after it passed by the stationary soul. Almost at the instant, it floated past, this new soul suddenly begins to glow in bright color. As time moved that soul, which was initially pale grey like all the rest, first changed pale green, then blue, then silver, and finally it turned golden and released an intense light wave that instantly wiped out millions of souls in the surroundings.

Then this golden soul transformed into a golden sword of light, and shot into the distance, crashed into a wall of chaotic space and exploded through the barriers of this plane with a ‘BOOM.' There was a blinding light, and deafening sound before the light and noise vanished utterly, the void mending itself instantly. After that big, even nothing major happened. The former soul remained stationary. For a few years, tranquility had returned.

  Until suddenly...there was another light.

More precisely, there was a flame. Deep in the mass of grey clouds, there was a green fire slowly burning brighter until it begins to affect the souls surrounding itself. Suddenly, every soul within seven kilometers of the flame was instantly burning until nothing remained. Then the glow vanished.

Sylvester Tricko slowly regained consciousness but awakened to utter darkness, amidst a splitting headache. He grimaced through the pain and tried to clear his mind.

‘What is this?’ He seemed able to recall only his name. Any complicated thought made him feel a hot and painful sensation as if his skin was being seared.

After an unknown period passed, he was finally able to think a little more clearly. For a moment all was blank. He did not know who he was. He did not even know if he was. What exactly was the state of ‘being’ anyway? Did he genuinely exist just because he questioned it? What was existence? He felt unsure, but he knew it should be more than this. Suddenly, his consciousness shook, and in the pupils of his eyes, one could see two small green and black flames dancing. He could finally remember himself.

“I am Prince Sylvester Sylknarius Tricko, heir apparent to supreme Sephiroth of the Anubis Great World. The most extreme talent with the purest god beast bloodline ever born in the history of the royal family,” the prince arrogantly proclaimed to absolutely no one, “I have perfectly inherited the World Devouring Sky Jackal and Infinity Black Phoenix's ancient bloodlines, I am a second generation, Sky Jackal. Or more accurately I’m a noble Sky Wolf. I had just achieved dominance in the academy's assessment by defeating every other genius from the age of 11 years old to up to ten years older than this. Including the number one powerhouse in the academy, Luerong Blakrok. Of course, this was by a human standard… However, why can I not remember what happened after…”

Prince Tricko was pondering while he floated through the abyss, “Well no matter. Let's first figure out where we are.”

It was at this moment Prince Tricko realized that he had no physical form. This caused great anguish to wash over his spirit in a wave. What the hell had happened? The last thing he could remember was the most glorious moment out of his entire fifteen years of life. Of course, those were Fey years, different from how human's age. He slowly came to terms with what this discovery most likely meant. Infinity Palace. The Great Beyond. He had heard it called a great many things. However, it all said one thing in the end.

  He was already dead.

Or at the very least, Prince Tricko’s body was definitely gone.

However, he didn't dare accept this fate. As Prince Tricko begin to survey his surrounding, he became depressed. None of his mortal senses were active. He could see nothing, hear nothing, feel nothing. He instinctively swept his perception over his body. He was merely a spiritual baby, despite being a rather handsome one. His body was opaque and his legs nonexistent.

'Is this what it feels like to die? How uninspired.' Thought Prince Tricko, 'No, this is unlikely. If I have perished, then how is it I am still conscious?’

  Wait.

  No, that was it!

  Consciousness.

How did he know he was a spiritual baby?

How was he aware of how his form looked?

Because his soul consciousness had not ceased its functionality!

Prince Tricko immediately attempted to urge his spiritual awareness to take the shape of his eyes. The first thing he saw start
led him greatly. There was a face flowing directly past his and then another. Followed by another and then another. The eyes looked devoid of any emotion or reaction. This would have been far more unsettling if they weren't all ghost babies.

"So do we all return to being infants upon death? Or perhaps this is that human cycle of reincarnation?" The young prince was startled. Reincarnation? For some reason, this word reminded him of a very vague memory. However, it was fleeting. His mind begins working ceaselessly, trying to remember something, "High-level heroes are able to forcibly bind the souls of those they kill to the hero clan's fate laws, forcing these souls to enter the hero's cycle of reincarnation! So this must be the fabled river of samsara!”

Prince Tricko then extended his spiritual awareness to cover 10 meters around himself before he was forced to stop. Spiritual awareness could allow one to view the world from a third person's point of view, and at higher levels from above, like watching it on a broadcast screen. Green-hued light suddenly flashed in Prince Tricko's eyes and all the souls around him suddenly burst into flames.

As the souls burned, the purified soul power made his own soul much more powerful. His mind became clear, and his soul light changed from the dull grey color it was initially, to a forest green.

  Sudden enlightenment!

Prince Tricko and all the souls surrounding him have initially been like drained husks. Devoid of energy, and thus dormant and easily manipulated.

The prince was able to reason that this dark-green light hue surrounding his spirit form must provide some indication of a higher tier of soul power. Best of all, he had regular legs on his spirit form now! He had evolved from ghost baby to ghost toddler, he had slight facial features. This seemed somehow significant. It was all thanks to that green and black flame.

“Hahaha, the Sky Fall Flame, of course!" Prince Tricko laughed joyously, "It seems I have truly been banished to the nether realms of death. This fabled river of forgetfulness! The legendary Samsara Road of Fate, in which time flows backward. That bitch! How could she be so vicious?"
